ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการเลือกสถาบันศึกษาของนิสิต นักศึกษา หลักสูตรการแพทย์แผนไทยประยุกต์บัณฑิตในสถาบันระดับอุดมศึกษา

Abstract

          การเลือกสถาบันศึกษาในระดับอุดมศึกษาอาจมีปัจจัยด้านใดด้านหนึ่งหรือหลายด้าน การวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาและเปรียบเทียบปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการเลือกสถาบันศึกษา และศึกษาพฤติกรรมการใช้สุขภาพทางเลือก ก่อนเข้าศึกษาของนิสิต นักศึกษา หลักสูตรการแพทย์แผนไทยประยุกต์ ในสถาบันระดับอุดมศึกษา 3 แห่ง 3 ภูมิภาค ได้แก่ มหาวิทยาลัยบูรพา มหาสารคาม และแม่ฟ้าหลวง เลือกตัวอย่างแบบเจาะจงสถาบันที่มีลักษณะภูมิประเทศ เศรษฐกิจ และสังคมต่างกัน สำรวจโดยแบบสอบถามจำนวน 143 คน การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย t-test และ F-test ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการตัดสินใจเข้าศึกษาทั้ง 3 สถาบันมี 6 ด้าน ให้ความสำคัญบางด้านแตกต่างกันเล็กน้อย โดยรวมและรายด้านอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง (= 3.47) ด้านที่นิสิต นักศึกษาให้ความสำคัญลำดับแรก ๆ มหาวิทยาลัยบูรพา คือความน่าสนใจของหลักสูตร โอกาสหางานทำหลังสำเร็จการศึกษา ประโยชน์ของเนื้อหาวิชา และใกล้ธรรมชาติและแหล่งท่องเที่ยว มหาวิทยาลัยมหาสารคาม คือประโยชน์ของเนื้อหาวิชา ความน่าสนใจของหลักสูตร สาขาตรงกับความชอบและความสนใจ โอกาสหางานทำหลังสำเร็จการศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง คือ ความน่าสนใจของหลักสูตร ประโยชน์ของเนื้อหาวิชา สาขาตรงกับความชอบและความสนใจ มีห้องสมุดและตำราเรียนทันสมัย ภูมิลำเนาของนิสิต นักศึกษา อาชีพและรายได้ของผู้ปกครองที่ต่างกันให้ความสำคัญต่อปัจจัยด้านค่าใช้จ่าย สถานที่ และสิ่งนำเสนอทางกายภาพแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p<0.05) ส่วนใหญ่เคยใช้ยาสมุนไพร สมาธิ และการนวด เพื่อบำรุงสุขภาพ รักษาอาการ/โรคเจ็บป่วยที่ไม่รุนแรง และผ่อนคลาย ผู้ที่มีส่วนในการตัดสินใจเลือกใช้มากที่สุด คือ บิดา มารดา ผลการศึกษานี้จะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง เพื่อนำไปเป็นข้อมูลในการวางแผนพัฒนาสถาบันให้มีจุดเด่นและสอดคล้องกับความต้องการของผู้เรียนต่อไป             The selection of an educational institute may depend on one or several reasons. This research was aimed to explore and compare the factors that students used in selecting the course and institute for their alternative medicine education. Three institutes of Applied Thai Traditional Medicine in 3 regions of Thailand including Burapha University in the east, Mahasarakham University in the northeast and Mae Fah Luang University in the north. These three institutes were purposely selected due to their differences in geography, economics and social. The results from 143 students questionnaires, more females students made their own decision, not by their parents, in selecting the institute. There are 6 factors involving the selection of the institutes (at the moderate level, = 3.47). For Burapha University, attractiveness of the course, opportunity to work after graduation, benefits of the course, natural and tourist attraction were the main factors. Whereas Mahasarakham University, benefits of the course, attractiveness of the course, fields match the preferences and interests, opportunity to work after graduation and Mae Fah Luang University, the attractiveness of the course, benefits of the course, fields match the preferences and interests, and modernized library are the main factors. The different of student’s domiciles, parent’s occupation and income were depicted the attention to the cost, location and physical presentation are also the factors (p<0.05). The findings also showed these students are used to alternative medicines by themselves, either using herbal medicines, meditation and massage for health promotion, treating mild illness and relaxation. Parents have the influence on the decision making in selecting the treatment. This study would be applicable to the involving institutes for planning and developments to meet the satisfaction of the attendants. eight employees of all the samples have taken part in occupational health management in terms of 1) work environment exploration, 3) behavior adjustment, and 4) occurrence of accident or injury at work. The evaluation of model user’s satisfaction is rated in the level of very satisfied (= 4.17, SD = 0.59). The findings also indicate that the model is rated in the level of applicable (= 4.82, SD = 0.59) and it is rated in the level of the most appropriate (= 4.68, SD = 0.84).
