บัณฑิตแพทย์จำเป็นต้องผ่านเกณฑ์มาตรฐานผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพเวชกรรมของแพทยสภา ซึ่งกำหนดให้ทำหัตถการพื้นฐานที่จำเป็น ปัจจุบัน ข้อมูลความมั่นใจในการทำหัตถการของแพทย์ยังมีอยู่จำกัด ซึ่งข้อมูลเหล่านี้ มีความสำคัญในการปรับปรุงแนวทางการวางแผนหลักสูตรของนิสิตแพทย์ รวมไปถึงการประเมินคุณภาพการสอนอีกด้วย การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ ศึกษาระดับความมั่นใจในการทำหัตถการออร์โธปิดิกส์ของนิสิตแพทย์มหาวิทยาลัยบูรพาที่กำลังจะสำเร็จการศึกษา โดยใช้แบบสอบถาม ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ความมั่นใจในการทำหัตถการที่เฉพาะทาง จะอยู่ในระดับต่ำ ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับข้อมูลเดิม และปัจจัยที่พบว่ามีผลต่อความมั่นใจฯ นั้นพบว่า ชนิดของหัตถการ ซึ่งหมายถึงความยากง่ายของหัตถการนั้น และประสบการณ์ที่ได้พบหรือทำหัตถการเป็นปัจจัยที่มีส่งผลต่อความมั่นใจอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ ในขณะที่ เพศ และระดับคะแนนเฉลี่ย ไม่มีผลต่อความมั่นใจฯ ทั้งนี้ พบว่า จำนวนผู้ป่วยยังไม่พอเพียงสำหรับการเรียนรู้ต่อการทำหัตถการที่เฉพาะทางGraduated physicians must pass the medical professional certification including ability to performbasic procedures. The data of confidence for doing a procedure is limited. This information isimportant to adjust a medical student program and also to evaluate the quality of the presentprogram. The objective of this study is to evaluate the confidence level in basic orthopedicprocedures of medical students, Burapha University with a questionnaire. Results of the studydemonstrated that the confidence levels in orthopedic specialty procedures were low, whichwere similar to previous studies. The significant factors that affected confidence level were theprocedure difficulty and the number of case exposure. Sex and Grade Point Average Cumulative(GPAX) were not ployrole. The number of exposed cases in most procedures were not sufficient.
