The Influence of Thai traditional lacquer works to Thai contemporary lacquer works : A case study analysis of forms, content, concepts, and creative works of art students

Abstract

บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความเป็นมาศิลปะลายรดน้ำแบบประเพณี โดยวิเคราะห์ รูปแบบ เนื้อหา แนวความคิดของผลงานศิลปะลายรดน้ำแบบประเพณีที่ส่งอิทธิพลต่อการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะลายรดน้ำร่วมสมัยซึ่งแสดงอัตลักษณ์ด้านความงาม สุนทรียภาพเฉพาะตนของนักศึกษาศิลปะ จากการศึกษาพบว่า ศิลปะลายรดน้ำของกลุ่มนักศึกษาศิลปะ มีรูปแบบการสร้างสรรค์ที่พัฒนาร่วมสมัยมากยิ่งขึ้นในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน โดยบางส่วนยังนำกระบวนการของศิลปะลายรดน้ำมาประยุกต์กับกระบวนการสร้างสรรค์ร่วมสมัย ทำให้ภูมิปัญญาของศิลปะลายรดน้ำมีความคุณค่าสำคัญต่อการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานทัศนศิลป์มากยิ่งขึ้น ก่อให้เกิดประโยชน์ด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรม ด้านการอนุรักษ์ ด้านวิชาการ เศรษฐกิจและสังคม อีกทั้งเป็นการเผยแพร่คุณค่าศิลปะลายรดน้ำรูปแบบไทยประเพณีและรูปแบบลายรดน้ำร่วมสมัยที่เป็นศิลปะประจำชาติชั้นสูงของไทย           The purpose of this article is to study the history of the traditional Thai lacquer art by analyzing the forms, content, and concepts of the traditional Thai lacquer arts that influence the creation of a contemporary Thai lacquer art pattern expressing an aesthetic identity of art students. The results of this study found that Thai lacquer art of art students’ group are developed more contemporary in the creation of works. Some of them also apply Thai lacquer art process with the contemporary creative process to create art works which make the wisdom of Thai lacquer art have more important value to the creation of visual arts. Moreover, this provides benefits in art and culture including conservation, academic, economic and social aspect. It is also the dissemination of the values of Thai lacquer art patterns, Thai style, tradition and contemporary Thai lacquer pattern which is the highest national art of Thailand.
