จิตวิทยาศาสตร์ กับ ธรรมะทางพุทธศาสนา

Abstract

         บทความนี้ นำเสนอความหมายของจิตวิทยาศาสตร์ (Scientific mind) ที่ได้จากการ หาความสัมพันธ์กันระหว่าง จิตวิทยาศาสตร์ กับธรรมะทางพุทธศาสนา (Buddhism dharma) โดยมีจุดมุ่งหมายให้ผู้ที่อยู่ในวงการศึกษาทั้งที่เป็นผู้สอนและผู้เรียนตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของธรรมะทางพุทธศาสนาซึ่งเป็นศาสนาประจำชาติไทย และในฐานะเป็นองค์ประกอบสำคัญของจิตวิทยาศาสตร์ ที่สมควรนำมาฝึกปฏิบัติร่วมไปกับกระบวนการสอน และกระบวนการเรียนรู้ได้ในทุกสาขาวิชา อันนำไปสู่การพัฒนาผู้เรียนในแต่ละช่วงวัยซึ่งผู้เขียนได้ให้ข้อเสนอแนะไว้ เพื่อให้ได้คนดีมีความรู้คู่คุณธรรม จริยธรรม มีปัญญาและศักยภาพในการศึกษาต่อจนสามารถประกอบอาชีพเลี้ยงตนเองได้ในอนาคตควบคู่ไปกับการปฏิบัติตนตามหลักพุทธศาสนา สำหรับคำว่า จิตวิทยาศาสตร์ นั้นมีผู้ให้ความหมายไว้หลากหลายแต่ในภาพรวมที่สรุปได้ มี 3 แบบคือ แบบที่หนึ่ง เป็นความหมายที่มีความหมายเหมือนเจตคติทางวิทยาศาสตร์ (Scientific attitude) คือเป็นคุณลักษณะนิสัยของบุคคลที่เกิดขึ้นจากการศึกษาหาความรู้โดยใช้กระบวนการทางวิทยาศาสตร์ ซึ่งได้แก่ ความสนใจใฝ่รู้ ความมุ่งมั่น อดทน รอบคอบ ความรับผิดชอบ ความซื่อสัตย์ ประหยัด การร่วมแสดงความคิดเห็นและยอมรับฟังความคิดเห็นของผู้อื่น ความมีเหตุผล การทำงานร่วมกับผู้อื่นได้อย่างสร้างสรรค์ แบบที่สอง เป็นความหมายที่รวมเจตคติทางวิทยาศาสตร์ไว้กับ เจตคติต่อวิทยาศาสตร์ (Attitude towards science) ซึ่งมีความหมายครอบคลุมไปถึงความมีคุณธรรมและความคิดเห็นที่ดีต่อกิจกรรมทางวิทยาศาสตร์และกิจกรรมที่หลากหลายอื่นๆที่ใช้ในการเรียนรู้วิทยาศาสตร์ และแบบที่สามซึ่ง เป็นความหมายที่รวมความหมายในแบบที่สองไว้กับความหมายตามพจนานุกรม และความหมายที่เข้ากับการปฏิบัติตนตามหลักธรรมทางพุทธศาสนา (Buddhism dharma) ดังนั้นผู้ที่มีจิตวิทยาศาสตร์ตามความหมายแบบที่สามจะเป็นผู้ที่มีจิตวิทยาศาสตร์ที่สมบูรณ์ มีความสุข มีมโนธรรม สำหรับควบคุมความประพฤติทั้งทางกาย วาจา และใจ ทำให้คล่องแคล่วเหมาะสมแก่การเรียนรู้ศาสตร์ต่างๆ ไม่เฉพาะแต่ด้านวิทยาศาสตร์เท่านั้น ดังนั้นจึงเป็นสิ่งสำคัญยิ่งในการที่จะพัฒนาเพื่อให้ได้ทั้งบุคลากรที่จะเป็นผู้สอนในอนาคตและนักเรียนในช่วงวัยต่างๆ ให้เป็นผู้มีจิตวิทยาศาสตร์ที่สมบูรณ์           This article presented a definition of Scientific mind derived from the correlation between Scientific mind and the Buddhism dharma for the aim to provide people in the field of education, both teachers and students to recognize the importance of the Buddhism dharma, which is the national religion of Thailand and as a key component of Scientific mind. These able to practice along with the teaching and learning processes in all subject areas which led to the guidance and development of students at different ages as the author suggested for a better knowledge of both moral and intellectual potential of students to be engaged with the future self-career in conjunction with the practice of Buddhism. For the meaning of scientific mind, there were many descriptions to explain it but the author could be divided into 3 groups. The first group had been described as the same meaning of scientific attitude. Those were multidimensional characters of one’s personality which were created by using scientific process. The characters consisted of curiosity and enquiry, patience and prudence, responsibility, honesty and saving, opinion sharing and the urge to be critical, rationality, and creative working with others. The second had been described as the mixed description between the scientific attitude and the attitude towards science. That is about combination of skills, thoughtful processes, good attitudes and ethical concerns in learning science with aesthetic considerations to be used. The third was presented as the mixture of the second meaning, according to the dictionary definition and the guideline of practicing in the principles of Buddhism dharma of the Lord Buddha. Thus, one who has the scientific mind developed together with practicing in Buddhism dharma will be the one who has complete scientific mind that can understand not only the science but also all of realities and support all areas of education. Therefore, it is important to develop human resources who will teach students in the future and all ages of students to have complete scientific mind.
