Strategies to Enhance Good Character of Students in Schools under the Foundation of the Church of Christ in Thailand

Abstract

การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อนำเสนอยุทธศาสตร์การเสริมสร้างคุณลักษณะที่ดีของนักเรียนในโรงเรียน สังกัดมูลนิธิแห่งสภาคริสตจักรในประเทศไทย โดยใช้รูปแบบการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนาและใช้กระบวนการเก็บข้อมูลแบบผสมผสาน (Mixed Method) กรอบแนวคิดในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย แนวคิดการแบ่งมิติคุณธรรมของ Nick Tate (2005) และการกำหนดยุทธศาสตร์ตามแนวคิดของ Wheelen และ IHunger (2004) เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยการศึกษาภาคสนามโรงเรียนสังกัดมูลนิธิแห่งสภาคริสตจักรในประเทศไทยจำนวน 14 โรงและการใช้แบบสอบถามในโรงเรียนฯ จำนวน 25 โรง วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้การวิเคราะห์ความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน งานวิจัยนี้ใช้วิธีกำหนดยุทธศาสตร์จากตาราง TOWS Matrix โดยผู้เชี่ยวชาญ ด้านการวางแผนยุทธศาสตร์ ด้านการบริหารการศึกษา ด้านคริสตจริยธรรม ด้านทักษะชีวิตเยาวชน ด้านจิตวิทยาเด็กและวัยรุ่น และผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องโดยตรง ในการนำยุทธศาสตร์ไปปฏิบัติ ยุทธศาสตร์ที่ได้จากการกำหนดมีการประเมินความเหมาะสมและความเป็นไปได้โดย ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิและผู้ที่จะนำยุทธศาสตร์ไปใช้จำนวน 15 คน  ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ยุทธศาสตร์การเสริมสร้างคุณลักษณะที่ดีของนักเรียนในโรงเรียนสังกัดมูลนิธิแห่งสภาคริสตจักรในประเทศไทย มี 6 ยุทธศาสตร์ คือ 1. ยุทธศาสตร์การสร้างความเข้มแข็งในงานพันธกิจคริสเตียนเพื่อเป็นแกนนำในการเสริมสร้างคุณลักษณะที่ดีให้นักเรียน 2. ยุทธศาสตร์การระดม ศักยภาพบุคลากรสู่การจัดมวลประสบการณ์เพื่อเสริมสร้างคุณลักษณะที่ดีให้นักเรียน 3. ยุทธศาสตร์การสร้างพลังขับเคลื่อนคุณลักษณะที่ดีโดยนักเรียนสู่นักเรียน 4. ยุทธศาสตร์การพัฒนากระบวนการเรียนรู้สู่การเสริมสร้างคุณลักษณะที่ดี 5. ยุทธศาสตร์การยกระดับคุณภาพการบริหารจัดการให้เอื้อต่อการเสริมสร้างคุณลักษณะที่ดี และ 6. ยุทธศาสตร์การประสานพลังครอบครัว ชุมชนและหน่วยงานภายนอกร่วมพัฒนานักเรียนสู่การเป็นผู้มีคุณลักษณะที่ดี งานวิจัยนี้ได้รับทุน อุดหนุนวิทยานิพนธ์สำหรับนิสิตจากบัณฑิตวิทยาลัย จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย  This study was aimed to propose strategies to enhance the good character of students in schools under The Foundation of the Church of Christ in Thailand. The researcher used descriptive research through the mixed methods in collecting data. The conceptual framework of the research consists of Nick Tate's statement of value, and Wheelen and Hunger's strategy formulation. The information and data were gathered from the authentic field study in 14 schools and the questionnaire in 25 schools. The collected data were analyzed in frequency, percentage, average, and standard deviation. The strategies were generated from TOWS Matrix by the experts of strategic planning, educational management, Christian Ethics, children life skills, child and youth psychology, and the principals. The connoisseurs, the principals, and the staffs who are in charge of strategies implementation had finally evaluated the derived strategies.  The research result showed that there are 6 strategies helping enhance character of the students in schools under the Foundation of the Church of Christ in Thailand, which are 1. To enhance the strength of Christian mission in order to become the core base that implants the good character in the students. 2. To encourage teachers' and school members' potential and desire to provide various experiences that strengthen students' character. 3. To extract good character from students, interacting with other students. 4. To develop the learning process to support and maintain students' good character. 5. To improve the management qualities which will strengthen students' character. 6. To synergize the family, community, and related organizations outside schools to further develop students' character.
