Sanitary Evaluation of Burapha University's Swimming Pool

Abstract

ในช่วงเดือนกรกฎาคม - กันยายน ๒๕๕๕ และเดือนธันวาคม ๒๕๕๕ คณะผู้วิจัยได้ดำเนินการศึกษา ประเมินการสุขาภิบาลของสระว่ายน้ำในมหาวิทยาลัยบูรพา ด้วยจุดมุ่งหมาย ๓ ประการ : (๑) เพื่อตรวจสอบคุณภาพน้ำในสระด้านกายภาพ (ความใส และอุณหภูมิ), ด้านเคมี (ฤทธิ์กรด-ด่าง และปริมาณฆลอรีนคงเหลือ), และด้านชีวภาพ (จำนวนโคลิฟอร์มแบคทีเรียรวม และอีโคไล) ; (๒) เพื่อประเมินสุขลักษณะของสระน้ำและอาคารสถานทำการที่เกี่ยวข้อง: (๓) เพื่อทราบความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับการสุขาภิบาลสระว่ายน้ำและปัญหาผลกระทบสุขภาพจากการใช้บริการสระว่ายน้ำ  ผลการศึกษาแสดงว่าคุณภาพน้ำในสระด้านกายภาพ (ใส, อุณหภูมิเฉลี่ย ๓๑.๕ องศาเซลเซียส), ด้านเคมี (ความเป็นกรด-ด่างเฉลี่ย ๗. ๒๐, ค่าเฉลี่ยปริมาณฆลอรีนคงเหลือ ๓.๙๖ มิลลิกรัมต่อลิตร), ด้านชีวภาพ (จำนวนโคลิฟอร์มแบคทีเรียรวมน้อยกว่า ๓ เอ็มพีเอ็นต่อ ๑๐๐ มิลลิลิตร, ไม่พบเชื้ออีโคไล), เมื่อพิจารณาเทียบมาตรฐานข้อบังคับกรุงเทพมหานครข้อมูลที่สูงกว่ามาตรฐานได้แก่ปริมาณฆลอรีนคงเหลือ การประเมินสุขลักษณะของสระน้ำและอาคารทำการพบว่าร้อยละ ๖๒.๑๖ เข้าข่ายปรกติ ซึ่งบ่งชี้ว่าตังต้องดำเนินการปรับปรุงต่อไป จากการสอบถามผู้ใช้บริการสระว่ายน้ำ ๖๑ ราย ๔๕ ราย (ร้อยละ ๗๗.๗๗) แจ้งข้อบกพร่องให้ทำการแก้ไข  In the period from July to September 2002, a survey was carried out to evaluate the sanitary condition of a Burapha university swimming pool with regard to three aspects: (1) quality of the pool water based on physical (clarity and temperature), chemical (pH and amounts of residual chlorine), and biological (total coliform bacilli and the presence of Escherichia coli) properties; (2) the sanitary condition of the pool and its operating equipment; and (3) opinion concerning the sanitary condition and health impact obtained from questioning pool users.  The findings revealed that all quality parameters of the pool, physical, chemical and biological, were in accord with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's regulations, except for excess amounts of residual chlorine. Evaluation of the sanitary condition, using a checklist with 37 topics, yielded the following evaluation: 62.16 per cent of the above aspects were judged to be satisfactory, the remainder needed to be improved. Questioning of 61 pool users revealed that 77.77 per cent reported some faulty aspects needed to be repaired.
