การพัฒนาโปรแกรมการเสริมสร้างพลังอำนาจของญาติที่ดูแลผู้ใหญ่ป่วยเรื้อรังที่บ้าน

Program Development for Empowering Family Care Givers of Chronically III Adults

Abstract

การวิจัยชุดนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการเพื่อพัฒนาโปรแกรมเสริมสร้างพลังอำนาจแก่ญาติที่ดูแลผู้ใหญ่ที่ป่วยเรือรังที่บ้านในอำเภอศรีราชา จังหวัดชลบุรี ตามรูปแบบดำเนินการที่กำหนดขึ้นโดยกิบสัน กลุ่มตัวอย่างประกอบด้วยญาติผู้ดูแล จำนวน ๔๕ คน ซึ่งเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมที่จัดขึ้นเป็นรายบุคคลเพื่อเรียนรู้แบบมีส่วนร่วม และแบบกระบวนการกลุ่ม เพื่อให้ทราบถึงรายละเอียดเกี่ยวกับโรค และทำการฝึกทักษะในการดูแลผู้ใหญ่ป่วยเรื้อรังการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา และ paired t-test  หลังสิ้นสุดการดำเนินกระบวนการเสริมสร้างพลังอำนาจญาติที่ดูแลผู้ใหญ่ป่วยเรื้อรังแล้วพบว่าผู้ดูแล มีการรับรู้พลังอำนาจ ความรู้สึกมีคุณค่าในตนเองและพฤติกรรมการดูแลผู้ป่วยเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ  (ค่าพี่ น้อยกว่า ๐.๐๐๑) ผลการวิจัยครั้งนี้จึงแสดงว่า การเสริมสร้างพลังอำนาจตามรูปแบบของกิบสัน ส่งผลดีต่อพฤติกรรมและสมรรถนะของญาติที่ดูแลผู้ใหญ่ป่วยเรื้อรัง จึงสมควรนำรูปแบบการเสริมสร้างพลังอำนาจตามแนวคิดของกิบสันไปขยายกิจกรรมให้กว้างขวางต่อไป  This study was carried out in order to develop a program for empowering family care givers of chronically III adults based on Gibson's concept and program. The research involved 45 family care givers in Sri-Racha District, Chon Buri.  The Gibson program application was arranged through individual participation and group activities in learning about disease and in training to develop skills in caring for chronically ill adults. Data analysis was performed by descriptive statistics and by paired t-test.  Results of the evaluation study show that after finishing the course of the empowerment program, the family care givers gained significantly with regard to the perception of empowerment, self-esteem, and caring behavior (p-value < 0.001). The present researchers are satisfied with Gibson's empowerment program and advocate it for wider practice.
