Abstract

บทคัดยอ การวิจัยเรื่องนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาวิถีชีวิตของพ่อค้าแม่ค้าคนไทย เชื้อสายจีนในตลาดน้ำโบราณบางพลี และวิเคราะห์บทบาทของพ่อค้าแม่ค้าคนไทยเชื้อสายจีนที่มีผลต่อการค้าขายในตลาดน้ำโบราณบางพลี จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า พ่อค้าแม่ค้าคนไทยเชื้อสายจีนในตลาดน้ำโบราณบางพลีเป็นลูกหลานคนจีน ตั้งร้านค้าและประกอบอาชีพสืบทอดจากบรรพบุรุษ ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่อพยพมาจากมณฑลฮกเกี้ยนและมณฑลกวางตุ้ง มีวิถีชีวิตตามแบบบรรพบุรุษในด้านการค้าขายและด้านการดำเนินชีวิต มีวัฒนธรรมและประเพณีบางส่วนที่ยังสืบทอดแบบบรรพบุรุษคนจีน พ่อค้าแม่ค้าส่วนใหญ่แต่งงานกับคนไทย และมีการปรับเปลี่ยนวิถีชีวิต โดยผสมผสานกับวัฒนธรรมไทย ในด้านความเชื่อ ประเพณีและการปฎิบัติตามคำสอนของบรรพบุรุษ พ่อค้าแม่ค้ามีบทบาทในด้าน การค้าขายสินค้าของชุมชน ที่ดึงดูดความสนใจและตอบสนองความต้องการของ ลูกค้า โดยเฉพาะการมีบทบาทส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยว ทำให้ชุมชนมีเศรษฐกิจที่ดีและยังเป็นการเผยแพร่วัฒนธรรมจีน จุดสำคัญในการดำเนินชีวิตของพ่อค้าแม่ค้าคนไทยเชื้อสายจีน คือ การปรับเปลี่ยนตัวเองที่ทำให้ดำเนินชีวิตอยู่ร่วมกับคนไทยในชุมชนตลาดน้ำโบราณบางพลีได้อย่างสันติและมีส่วนทำให้ตลาดน้ำโบราณบางพลีได้พัฒนาในด้านต่าง ๆ เพิ่มขึ้นAbstract This research has the purposes to study life style of Thai-Chinese merchants in Boran Bang Pli Floating Market and to analyze the roles of Thai-Chinese merchants in Boran Bang Pli Floating Market, SamutPrakarn Province. This research tools are documentation analysis and field data collection and the research is presented in descriptive analysis. The research reveals that Thai-Chinese merchants in Boran Bang Pli floating market are the Chinese lineage. They carry on the career and shops from their ancestors who migrated from Fujian and Guangdong province. They live with ancestral way in commerce and life style. Some cultures and traditions are succeeded from Chinese ancestors. Many merchants marry with Thai people and adjust their life style with Thai cultures in their belief, tradition, and practice following their ancestors’ doctrine. In additions, the merchants have the roles in trading goods in community which are interesting and serve clients’ needs. In particulars, role that supports the tourism and lotus receiving festival enhances the community’s economy and propagates Chinese cultures. Therefore, the life style of Thai-Chinese merchants has been adapted in order to live peacefully with Thai people in Boran Bang Pli floating market community and also to be involved in developing many aspects in Boran Bang Pli floating Market.
