เครื่องเซ่นสรวงของชาวมอญบ้านม่วง ราชบุรี

Abstract

บ้านม่วง เป็นชุมชนมอญริมฝั่งแม่น้ำแม่กลอง ชาวบ้านนับถือศาสนาพุทธอย่างเคร่งครัด มีวิถีชีวิตที่เรียบง่าย ชาวบ้านส่วนใหญ่ยังคงมีวิถีชีวิตผูกพันอยู่กับประเพณีและความเชื่อดั้งเดิม เป็นเหตุให้ชุมชนมอญแห่งนี้ยังสามารถดำรงเอกลักษณ์วัฒนธรรมของชาวมอญอยู่ได้มากกว่าชุมชนมอญอื่นๆ ในปัจจุบันบทความทางวิชาการเรื่องนี้ มุ่งศึกษาเรื่องอาหารซึ่งชาวมอญบ้านม่วงนำมาใช้เป็นเครื่องเซ่นสรวงในพิธีกรรมที่สำคัญ ๓ พิธีกรรม ได้แก่ พิธีกรรมโกนผมไฟและสู่ขวัญเด็ก พิธีอุปสมบท และพิธีเลี้ยงผีมอญ จากการศึกษาพบว่าเครื่องเซ่นของชาวมอญบ้านม่วงนอกจากมีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตามแบบของชาวมอญแล้ว ยังมีความสำคัญในฐานะที่เป็นสัญลักษณ์หรือสื่อที่สะท้อนคติความเชื่อต่างๆโดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งคติความเชื่อในเรื่องการเคารพบูชาผีบรรพบุรุษ  Ban Muang is a Mon Community on the Mae Klong River side. The Mons of Ban Muang have strong believe in Buddhism and follow a simple lifestyle. The most of them are related with old tradition and religious belief. Therefore, they can more firmly preserved their cultural identity than the other Mon communities.  The aim of this article is to study the Mons at Ban Muang’s food in three important ceremonies: shave off the child’s hair and offer best wishes to child, ordained, and Leng Pee Mon. The study found that food or we called “khrueangsen” (Offerings) not only have unique identity but be also a “symbol” for reflect their believe in animism and ancestor worship traditions.
