สถานการณ์ร่วมสมัยของชุมชนคาทอลิกจันทบุรี

Abstract

การวิจัย “สถานการณ์ร่วมสมัยของชุมชนคาทอลิกจันทบุรี” มีวัตถุประสงค์ คือ เพื่อศึกษาสถานการณ์ของชุมชนคาทอลิกจันทบุรีทั้ง ๖ มิติ ได้แก่ ด้านประชากรและการตั้งถิ่นฐานด้านเศรษฐกิจ ด้านสังคม ด้านการเมืองการปกครอง ด้านชีวิตทางศาสนา และปัจจัยทางด้านประชากร เศรษฐกิจ สังคมและการเมืองที่มีผลต่อชีวิตทางศาสนาของครอบครัวคาทอลิกจันทบุรี มีวิธีการศึกษาโดยใช้การวิจัยเชิงสำรวจเป็นเครื่องมือ โดยเก็บข้อมูลจากแบบสัมภาษณ์จำนวน ๒๙๕ ครอบครัว  ผลการวิจัยพบว่า สถานการณ์ด้านประชากรและการตั้งถิ่นฐานพบว่าชุมชนคาทอลิกจันทบุรีไม่ค่อยมีพลวัตทางประชากรสถานการณ์ทางด้านเศรษฐกิจของครอบครัวคาทอลิกจันทบุรีในปัจจุบัน ชุมชนคาทอลิกมีแบบแผนการประกอบอาชีพเปลี่ยนแปลงไปจากเดิมหลังจากการตกต่ำของธุรกิจพลอยในจันทบุรี ชีวิตทางเศรษฐกิจของครอบครัวคาทอลิกยังมีบางส่วนที่ผูกพันกับวัดคาทอลิก ส่วนชีวิตทางด้านการเมืองของครอบครัวคาทอลิกนั้น คนในครอบครัวคาทอลิกเกือบทั้งหมด ให้ความสนใจติดตามข่าวสารบ้านเมืองผ่านโทรทัศน์เป็นหลัก ชีวิตทางศาสนาของชุมชนคาทอลิกในปัจจุบันนั้น ครอบครัวคาทอลิกมีความศรัทธาในการปฏิบัติศาสนกิจอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง โดยยังคงให้ความสำคัญต่อกิจกรรมประจำปี ๔ อันดับแรก คือ การไปร่วมมิสซาวันคริสต์มาสการไปร่วมพิธีเสกป่าช้า การร่วมงานฉลองวัด การทำปาสกา ส่วนปัจจัยทางด้านประชากรเศรษฐกิจ สังคมและการเมืองมีผลอยู่ในระดับ ปานกลาง และระดับต่ำ ต่อชีวิตทางศาสนาของครอบครัวคาทอลิกจันทบุรี  This article is based on the research on content, “Contemporary situation of Catholic community in Chantaburi”, It aims to study the situation within Catholic Communities in Chantaburi in 9 dimensions consisting population, habitation, economy, politics, and religious lives. Moreover, the author have an aim to study the impact of population, economic, social and political factors on religious lives of Catholic family in Chantaburi.  Regarding research methodology, the author uses survey research by gathering data from questionnaires (295 families). The findings of this study are as follows; Catholic families are rather static in terms of population and habitation. The occupational patterns of people in Catholic families have changed after the decline in gems business. In addition, economic lives of some Catholic families are related to the Catholic churches. Nearly all members of Catholic families are interested in politics. They follow news mostly by watching televisions. Concerning religious lives in present day, Catholic families have faith in religious practices in an average level. They still emphasizes on yearly activities that are taking part in Christmas Day Mass, the rite of Sprinkling water on the tomb, Church Celebration and Passover respectively. Concerning population, economic, and social factors have an impact on religious lives at an average level while political factors have an impact on religious lives at a low level.
