Social Support, Locus of Control and Job Stress of Employees at the Social Security Office

Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษาเปรียบเทียบความเครียดในการทำงานตามปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลที่แตกต่างกันของพนักงานประกันสังคม ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการสนับสนุนทางสังคม และความเชื่อในการควบคุมตนเองกับความเครียดในการทำงานของพนักงานสำนักงานประกันสังคม ตัวแปรพยากรณ์ที่สามารถร่วมกันทำนายความเครียดในการทำงานของพนักงานสำนักงานประกันสังคมกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ พนักงานระดับปฏิบัติงานในสำนักงานประกันสังคมเขตที่ทั้ง ๑๐ เขตทั่วกรุงเทพฯ จำนวน ๒๓๒ คน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า พนักงานสำนักงานประกันสังคมที่มีปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลด้านเพศและสถานภาพการสมรสต่างกัน มีความเครียดในการทำงานแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .๐๕ การสนับสนุนทางสังคมและความเชื่อในการควบคุมตนเองมีความสัมพันธ์ทางลบกับความเครียดในการทำงานอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .๐๑ นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่าความเชื่อในการควบคุมตนเอง และการสนับสนุนทางสังคมสามารถร่วมกันพยากรณ์ความเครียดในการทำงานได้ร้อยละ ๑๖.๕ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .๐๑  The objectives of this research related to employees at the social security office were to compare job stress among employees regarding personal factors to study the relationships between social support, the locus of control and job stress and study the predictive variables associated with employees’ job stress. Data were obtained from 232 employees at the Social Security Office 10 area around Bangkok. The findings indicated that was a significant difference at the .05 statistical level between the job stress of employees in the Social Security Office and their sex and status. There were negative relationships between both social support and the locus of control with job stress at the .01 statistical level and the locus of control and social support could predict 16.5% of job stress at the .01 statistical level.
