กรณีศึกษาคอลัมน์ที่บ่งชี้แนวสตรีนิยม ในนิตยสารสตรี

Abstract

          งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อการศึกษาคอลัมน์ในนิตยสารสตรีไทยที่พิมพ์เผยแพร่ต่อเนื่องตั้งแต่ปีสตรีสากล 2518 ถึง กันยายน 2537 มีรายชื่อใดบ้างที่เสนอคอลัมน์แนวคิดสตรีนิยมรุ่นใหม่ด้านใด และนำเสนอในเรื่องใด  ข้อมูลสำรวจจากนิตยสารสตรีไทย 6 รายชื่อ คือ ขวัญเรือน ผู้หญิงเก่ง พฤษภา วาไรตี้ สตรีทัศน์ และสตรีสาร จากจำนวนคอลัมน์ทั้งหมด 19 คอลัมน์ โดยนำข้อมูลแต่ละคอลัมน์มาวิเคราะห์แนวคิด 4 ด้าน คือ การเมือง เศรษฐกิจ สังคม และอื่น ๆ แต่ละด้านจำแนกข้อย่อยเป็นเรื่องตามเนื้อหาที่เกี่ยวข้อง 28 เรื่อง และวิเคราะห์แต่ละคอลัมน์ตามแนวทฤษฎีสตรีนิยมรุ่นใหม่ คือ เสรีนิยม สังคมนิยม และก้าวหน้านิยม ระยะเวลาที่ใช้วิจัย ตั้งแต่กรกฎาคม 2537 ถึงมีนาคม 2538 สรุปผลได้ดังนี้          1. นิตยสารวาไรตี้ มีข้อมูลมากที่สุด คิดเป็นร้อยละ 27.92 รองลงมาตามลำดับ คือ สตรีทัศน์ (20.65) ผู้หญิงเก่ง (18.07) พฤษภา (13.38) สตรีสาร (10.98) และขวัญเรือน (9.00)          2. คอลัมน์ไม่ร้ายไม่ใช่หญิงในนิตยสารวารไรตี้ มีข้อมูลสูงกว่าคอลัมน์อื่น ปรากฏแนวคิดด้านสังคมมากว่าอีกสามด้าน และเป็นสตรีนิยมแนวเสรีนิยม มากว่าสังคมนิยม และก้าวหน้านิยมในทุกคอลัมน์ นอกจากคอลัมน์ทั่วไปในสตรีทัศน์ที่มีสังคมนิยมมากกว่า          3. ข้อมูลด้านสังคม มีมากที่สุด คิดเป็นร้อยละ 46.79 รองลงมาตามลำดับ คือ ด้านอื่น ๆ (38.23) ด้านการเมือง (13.45) และด้านเศรษฐกิจ (1.53)          4. หัวเรื่องที่มีมากที่สุดคือ บทบาททางด้านการเมือง คิดเป็นร้อยละ 11.52 น้อยที่สุด คือ เรื่องข้าราชการ คิดเป็นร้อยละ 0.45          5. แนวคิดด้านการเมือง เรื่องที่มีมากที่สุด คือ บทบาท แนวคิดด้านเศรษฐกิจ มีเรื่องการทำงานมากที่สุด แนวคิดด้านสังคม มีเรื่องครอบครัวมากที่สุดและแนวคิดด้านอื่น ๆ มีเรื่อง คุณภาพชีวิตมากที่สุด          สรุป นิตยสารสตรีทั้ง 6 รายชื่อ 19 คอลัมน์ มีแนวคิดสตรีนิยมเกี่ยวกับเสรีนิยมแลก้าวหน้านิยมมากกว่าสังคมนิยม นิตยสารวาไรตี้มีข้อมูลมากกว่าฉบับอื่น และปรากฏแนวคิดด้านสังคมสูงที่สุดในคอลัมน์ไม่ร้ายไม่ใช่หญิง          This research was aimed at the study of columns concerning feminism in Thai women’s magazines wich had been published continuously from the International Women’s year 1975 to September 1944. The purpose of the study was to find out which columns presented ideas on modern feminism and under what titles.          The data comprised 19 columns from 6 women’s magazines; Khwan Ruan, Phu Ying Keng, Phrutsapha, Varities, Satritat and Satri Sarn. Each column was analysed under four categories; politics, economics, society and miscellaneous. Each category was subdivided into 28 sub-categories based on 3 modern feminism theories which are Liberalism, Socialism and Radicalism.          The duration of the research was from July 1994 to March 1995. The results of the study were as fellows:          1. The magazines that presented ideas and opinions concerning feminism from more to less were as fellows; Varities 27.92 percent, Satritat 20.65 percent, Phu Ying Keng 18.07 percent, Phrutsapha 13.38 percent, Satri Sarn 10.98 percent and Khwan Ruan 9.00 percent.          2. The column “Mai Rai Mai Chai Ying” in Varities contained more opinions on feminism than any other columns; and most opinions were on society aspect than other three aspects. Surprisingly, most columns on Liberalism rather than Socialism of Radicalism except miscellaneous column in Satritat emphasized Socialism.          3. Opinions on society aspects were found at the most in most columns at the percentage of 46.79. The ones on miscellaneous were found second most at 38.23 percent, on polities came third at 13.45 percent and economics came last at 1.53 percent.          4. The sub-category found most was the role in politics which was 11.52 percent. The least found was bureaucrats which was 0.45 percent.          5. The sub-category on politics were mostly found concerning the political role, on economics mostly concerned job opportunity, on society mostly concerned family matters and on miscellaneous mostly concerned quality of life.          As a summary nineteen columns in all six women’s magazines contained more opinions in the aspects of Liberalism and Radicalism than in the aspect of Socialism.          Varities is the only magazine that presented ideas and opinions on feminism. “Mai Rai Mai Chai Ying” is the column in this magazine that presented ideas and opinions mostly concentration in society aspect.
