จริยธรรมการวิจัยในมนุษย์กับการวิจัยทางสังคมศาสตร์

Abstract

          จริยธรรมการวิจัยในมนุษย์ (Ethics in Human Research) เป็นหลักจริยธรรมทั่วไป (Ethical Principles) ที่ถูกกำหนดขึ้นเพื่อปกป้องศักดิ์ศรี ความปลอดภัย และความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีของมนุษย์ที่เข้าร่วมเป็นอาสาสมัครในโครงการวิจัย ซึ่งประกอบด้วยหลักการสำคัญสามประการ คือ หลักการเคารพในความเป็นมนุษย์ (Respect for Person) หลักคุณประโยชน์ไม่เป็นโทษ (Beneficence and Non-Maleficence) และหลักความยุติธรรม (Justice) โดยหลักการดังกล่าวมีผลให้การวิจัยในสาขาต่างๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการวิจัยทางการแพทย์และทางชีวเวชศาสตร์ (Biomedical Research) การวิจัยด้านวิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพ (Health Science Research) การวิจัยด้านวิทยาศาสตร์เทคโนโลยี (Scientific Research) และการวิจัยด้านสังคมศาสตร์ (Social Science Research) ที่ดำเนินการศึกษาวิจัยในมนุษย์จะต้องได้รับการรับรองจริยธรรมการวิจัยในมนุษย์จากสถาบันที่ให้การรับรอง          ด้วยเหตุผลที่กล่าวมาข้างต้น นักวิจัยด้านสังคมศาสตร์จึงต้องตระหนักและให้ ความเคารพในเรื่องของจริยธรรมการวิจัยในมนุษย์เป็นอย่างยิ่ง เพื่อที่นักวิจัยจะได้นำหลักการดังกล่าวมาใช้เป็นแนวทางดำเนินการวิจัยได้อย่างถูกต้อง เหมาะสม และเป็นไปตามหลักจริยธรรมพื้นฐาน (Ethical Principles) ซึ่งในท้ายที่สุดนักวิจัยจะได้เสนอโครงการวิจัย (Research Protocol) เพื่อขอรับรองจริยธรรมการวิจัยในมนุษย์ได้อย่างถูกต้อง ชอบด้วยเหตุผลทางจริยธรรม มีความถูกต้องตามหลักวิชาการ อันจะส่งผลให้งานวิจัยนั้นมีความน่าเชื่อถือ และผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการวิจัยได้รับการปกป้องสิทธิและมีความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีตลอดโครงการวิจัย          Ethics in human research is generally considered as an ethical principle that is designated to protect and care the dignity, safety and well-being of human beings who participated in the particular research project. According to principles, it consists of three crucial concerns that are respect for person, beneficence and non-maleficence, and justice. All mentioned aspects were considered as the most important major element in research procedures. Whether it is clinical research, health science research, science technology research, or social science research, those concerning human being must be endorsed and accredited by ethical human research institutions.          For the significant reasons mentioned above, researchers in the social sciences are strongly required to be aware of and focus on ethical research in humans since they would be able to apply this principle as a guideline for conducting research properly in accordance with ethical principles. Finally, the researcher will therefore propose an appropriate research protocol along with the accurate ethics in human research and ethical reasons. The results of the study will be credible and all research participants would be properly protected with their rights and wellbeing throughout the research project.
