Relationship between family support and competence of person with schizophrenia

Abstract

          การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาการสนับสนุนทางครอบครัวของผู้ป่วยจิตเภท สมรรถภาพของผู้ป่วยจิตเภท ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการสนับสนุน ทางครอบครัวกับสมรรถภาพของผู้ป่วยจิตเภท กลุ่ม ตัวอย่าง เป็นผู้ป่วยจิตเภทที่มารับการรักษาที่แผนกผู้ป่วยนอกจิตเวช โรงพยาบาลศรีธัญญา จังหวัดนนทบุรี จํานวน 148 คน โดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา และคํานวณ ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ของเพียร์สัน ผลการวิจัยพบ ว่า การสนับสนุนทางครอบครัวของผู้ป่วยอยู่ในระดับมาก (ค่าเฉลี่ย = 95.5, S.D. = 15.8) สมรรถภาพผู้ป่วย จิตเภทอยู่ในระดับสูง (ค่าเฉลี่ย = 3.5, S.D. = 0.87) การสนับสนุนทางครอบครัวมีความสัมพันธ์ทางบวกกับ สมรรถภาพของผู้ป่วยจิตเภทในระดับต่ำ (r = .233) อย่างมีนัยสําคัญทางสถิติ (p<.05) ผลการศึกษาครั้งนี้นํามาซึ่งข้อมูลที่สําคัญสําหรับเป็นแนวทางในการ พัฒนารูปแบบการดูแลเพื่อส่งเสริมสมรรถภาพ และ คุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ป่วยจิตเภทต่อไป  The purposes of this study were to describe family support and competence of persons with schizophrenia, relationship between these variables was also examined. The sample consisted of person with schizophrenia (N=148) who came for follow-up at psychiatric out patient service of Srithunya hospital, Nonthaburi province. Descriptive statistics, and Pearson's product moment correlation were employed to analyze the data. The results revealed that participants reported high level of family support (average = 95.5, S.D. = 15.8) and competence (average =, 3.5 S.D. = 0.87). Significant positive relationship between family support and competence was found (r=.23, p<.05). These findings contribute to greater understanding of information necessary for development of intervention that help to promote competence and quality of life of persons with schizophrenia
