Abstract

อุบัติเหตุเป็นสาเหตุของการบาดเจ็บและเสียชีวิตที่พบบ่อยในเด็กทั่วโลก การเกิดอุบัติเหตุในเด็กเป็นปัญหาสำคัญที่ทำให้เกิดความสูญเสีย ทั้งร่างกายและทรัพย์สินโดยเฉพาะการเกิดทุพพลภาพและเสียชีวิตของเด็กซึ่งถือว่าเป็นทรัพยากรที่สำคัญ เมื่อเกิดอุบัติเหตุและการบาดเจ็บในเด็ก นอกจากทำให้เกิดการสูญเสียค่าใช้จ่ายที่นับเป็นมูลค่ามหาศาลในแต่ละปีของประเทศชาติแล้ว ยังเป็นสาเหตุให้เกิดการตายของเด็กในปัจจุบัน ดังนั้นการเรียนรู้สาเหตุ และแนวทางป้องกันเพื่อให้คำแนะนำล่วงหน้าแก่บุคคลที่เกี่ยวข้อง เช่น พ่อแม่ ครู ผู้ดูแลเด็ก และบุคลากรทางสุขภาพ รวมถึงการรณรงค์ให้สังคมตระหนักถึงความสำคัญ และร่วมมือกันเพื่อไม่ให้เด็กต้องประสบปัญหาทางด้านร่างกาย จิตใจ หรือการสูญเสียใดๆ อันเป็นผลมาจากการได้รับอันตรายจากการเกิดอุบัติเหตุในเด็ก พยาบาลเป็นผู้ที่มีบทบาทสำคัญในการป้องกันและลดการเกิดอุบัติเหตุในเด็ก รวมทั้งการดูแลและฟื้นฟูสุขภาพเด็ก เพื่อให้เด็กมีการเจริญเติบโตให้เหมาะสมกับวัยและพัฒนาศักยภาพได้อย่างเต็มที่Accident is one of the most commoncauses of injury and death among childrenworldwide. Child accidents cause both physicaland property loss and lead to disability and evenmortality among children, who are our mostimportant national resource. In addition to thetremendous cost each year as a result of child accident, it has become a major cause of deathamong children. Hence, learning causes andmethods of accident prevention is essential inorder to educate persons involved in caring forchildren such as; fathers, mothers, teachers,caregivers and health professionals. Including,campaigns raising social awareness towards thisissue as well as promoting cooperation amongthese individuals are encouraged. Together, theyneed to protect children from the physical,psychological suffering, and other losses resultingfrom accidents. Nurses play an important role inthe prevention and reduction of childhoodaccidents, as well as caring and rehabilitatinginjured the children in order to assure appropriatechild development and optimal future potential.
