บทความนี้ศึกษา “นักท่องเที่ยวแรงงานไทย” ที่เดินทางไปใช้ชีวิตในประเทศออสเตรเลียภายใต้ข้อตกลงวีซ่าท่องเที่ยวและทำงาน มีวัตถุประสงค์หลักเพื่อทำความเข้าใจยุทธวิธีการจัดการชีวิตเดินทางในต่างแดนภายใต้สภาวะสองสถานะที่ถูกกำกับโดยรัฐผ่าน “ระบอบการเคลื่อนย้าย” โดยใช้วิธีการศึกษาเชิงคุณภาพเก็บข้อมูลเยาวชนไทยที่เข้าร่วมโครงการฯ รุ่นปี 2018-2019 จากการศึกษาพบว่า การตกอยู่ในสถานะนักท่องเที่ยวและแรงงานไปพร้อมกัน แม้ด้านหนึ่งถูกมองว่าได้ประโยชน์จากการเดินทาง แต่อีกด้าน กลับถูกเอารัดเอาเปรียบจากสถานะทับซ้อน ภายใต้การเผชิญปัญหานี้ พวกเขาได้ใช้วิธีการสร้างเครือข่ายทางสังคม เป็นยุทธวิธีสำคัญในการอำนวยความสะดวกต่อการใช้ชีวิตในที่ใหม่และช่วยต่อรองกับกฎเกณฑ์ข้อบังคับของรัฐ This article investigates “Thai Working Tourists” who travel and work in Australia under the visa regulation of work and holiday schemes. The main focus of this study is to understand strategies and managements of their lives, which contain 2positions in Australia through the lens of Mobility Regime. The qualitative methods were applied to collect data from Thai youth who are part of the program in 2018-2019. The results reveal that even they are under the status of “Working Tourist”, they can earn benefits from their trips. However, on the other side, they are being taken advantage from the dual positions. Under this exclusive condition, they built social network as strategies to support each other and negotiate with state regulations.References
