การใช้ประโยชน์ทางยาพื้นบ้าน สารพฤกษเคมี และฤทธิ์ทางชีวภาพของมะข่วง

Abstract

          มะข่วง (Zanthoxylum rhetsa, ชื่อพ้อง; Z. budranga Wall. Ex. DC., Z. limonella) เป็นไม้ยืนต้นขนาดกลาง ซึ่งมีเปลือกไม้สีอ่อน เจริญในพื้นที่เขตร้อนหรือพื้นที่เขตอบอุ่นของโลก สา หรับในประเทศไทยส่วนมากพบพืชชนิดนี้ ในพื้นที่ ทางภาคเหนือ มะข่วงถูกใช้เป็นยาแผนโบราณสาหรับรักษาโรคชนิดต่างๆ อย่างหลากหลาย จากการค้นข้อมูลแสดง ให้เห็นว่ามีสารแอลคาลอยด์เป็นสารกลุ่มหลักและสารกลุ่มรอง คือ ลิกแนน คูมาริน เอไมด์ และเทอร์พีน มีข้อมูลจานวน มากที่ชี้ ให้เห็นถึงการมีฤทธิ์ทางชีวภาพที่หลากหลายของสารพฤกษเคมีที่เป็นองค์ประกอบ โดยแสดงฤทธิ์ยับยั้งเชื้อแบคทีเรีย ต้านออกซิเดชัน ต้านการอักเสบ และฤทธิ์ต้านมะเร็ง จากข้อมูลที่มะข่วงมีความสำคัญทางด้านยาเป็นอย่าง มาก บทความนี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อรวบรวมข้อมูลที่เป็นปัจจุบันเกี่ยวกับการใช้ ประโยชน์ทางยาพื้นบ้าน สารพฤกษเคมี และฤทธิ์ทางชีวภาพของมะข่วง            Zanthoxylum rhetsa (syn. Z. budranga Wall. Ex. DC., Z. limonella) is a medium-sized tree with pale corky bark that is distributed in the tropical and temperate regions of the world. In Thailand, this plant is found mainly in the Northern area. Z. rhetsa has been widely used in folk medicine to treat various diseases. The review reveals that alkaloids are the major substances of Z. rhetsa and the minor are lignans, coumarins, amides, and terpenes. There are several data in the literature indicating a great variety of biological activities of the isolated phytochemicals, which exhibits antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anticancer activities. In view of the enormous medicinal importance of Z. rhetsa, this review aimed to compile the currently available information on its ethnomedicinal uses, phytochemicals and biological activities.
