A Factor Analysis of the Characteristics of the Outstanding Teachers in Teaching Basic Education

Abstract

           การวิจัยนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบเชิงยืนยันคุณลักษณะของครูดีเด่นสายงานการสอนระดับการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน จัดลำดับความสำคัญขององค์ประกอบ และเสนอแนวทางการกำหนดหลักเกณฑ์การประเมินครูดีเด่น เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสอบถามแบบมาตรประมาณค่า 5 ระดับ จากกลุ่มตัวอย่าง จำนวน 3,000 คน ซึ่งประกอบด้วยบุคคล 3 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ นักวิชาการ คณะกรรมการประเมินให้รางวัลครูจาก 6 หน่วยงาน คือ คุรุสภา สมาคมวิทยาศาสตร์แห่งประเทศไทยในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ มูลนิธิสมาน-คุณหญิงเบญจา แสงมะลิ มูลนิธิโทเรเพื่อการส่งเสริมวิทยาศาสตร์แห่งประเทศไทย กรมสามัญศึกษา และสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาแห่งชาติ และครูที่ได้รับรางวัลจาก 6 หน่วยงานดังกล่าว วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบเชิงสำรวจและการวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบเชิงยืนยัน          ผลการวิจัยพบว่า คุณลักษณะของครูดีเด่นสายงานการสอนระดับการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐานมี 8 องค์ประกอบเรียงลำดับความสำคัญขององค์ประกอบ ดังนี้ ด้านการจัดกระบวนการเรียนรู้ ด้านคุณธรรมและ จริยธรรม ด้านความเป็นประชาธิปไตย ด้านผลงานวิชาการ ด้านการพัฒนาตนและช่วยเหลือเพื่อนครู ด้านมนุษยสัมพันธ์ ด้านบุคลิกภาพ และด้านความรักและความศรัทธาต่อวิชาชีพครู ซึ่งทั้ง 8 องค์ประกอบสามารถอธิบายความแปรปรวนร่วมได้ร้อยละ 58.13 ผลการวิจัยแสดงให้เห็นว่า ครูดีเด่นสายงานการสอนระดับการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน นอกจากจะต้องมีองค์ประกอบของการเป็นครูดีและการเป็นคนดีแล้ว ยังต้องมีผลงานดีอีกด้วย          The purpose of this research was to perform a confirmatory factor analysis of the characteristics of the outstanding teachers in teaching basic education, to rank the essential factors, and to propose the criteria for the judgement of outstanding teachers. A questionnaire was used for gathering the data. The total 3,000 samples composed of three groups; educators, the committee members of six organizations (Teachers’ Association, The Science Society of Thailand under the Patronage of H.M. the King, Samarn-Benja Sangmali Philanthropic Foundation, Thailand Toray Science Philanthropic Foundation, Elementary Education Department, and Office of National Education Commission), and outstanding teachers who received awards from the six organizations mentioned. The data were analyzed by means of exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis.          The research results indicated that the characteristics of outstanding teachers in Teaching basic education consisted of eight factors; organizing learning process, moral and ethics, favoring democracy, academic masterpieces, self and colleague development, human relationship, personality, and love and faith in teaching profession. All eight factors accounted for 58.13% of the total variance. The findings showed that the outstanding teacher in teaching basic education must be a good teacher and a good person, in addition, he or she must produce good academic masterpieces.
