วิถีชีวิตหญิงให้บริการทางเพศ

Abstract

          การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาวิถีชีวิตของหญิงให้บริการทางเพศ และความหมายของผู้ประกอบ อาชีพหญิงให้บริการทางเพศ 2) เพื่อศึกษาการวางแผนในอนาคตและความต้องการสนับสนุนหลังเลิกประกอบ อาชีพนี้ โดยใช้วิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ รวบรวมข้อมูลโดยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก และการสังเกตแบบไม่มีส่วนร่วม ผู้ให้ ข้อมูลเป็นหญิงแท้ที่ประกอบอาชีพนี้มาแล้วไม่น้อยกว่า 1 ปี ในเมืองพัทยา จำนวน 17 คน โดยเลือกแบบเจาะจง การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้วิธีวิเคราะห์เชิงเนื้อหา          1. วิถีชีวิตของหญิงให้บริการทางเพศ มีความเป็นอยู่ที่ไม่สะดวกสบาย ต้องเช่าห้องอยู่อาศัย ไม่มียาน พาหนะ ไม่คำนึงถึงคุณภาพทางโภชนาการ ไม่ออกกำลังกาย ไม่มีการวางแผนการรักษาพยาบาลเมื่อเจ็บป่วย พักผ่อนไม่เป็นเวลา ไม่มีการวางแผนดูแลสุขภาพ ส่วน ความหมายของหญิงให้บริการทางเพศ ผู้ให้ข้อมูลนิยาม ว่า เป็นอาชีพที่ไม่เป็นที่ยอมรับของสังคม แต่เป็นอาชีพที่ไม่ทำให้ผู้อื่นเดือดร้อน มีรายได้ดีทำให้ครอบครัวมีความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีขึ้น แต่มีความเสี่ยงต่อโรคติดต่อทางเพศสัมพันธ์ได้          2. การวางแผนอนาคตและความต้องการสนับสนุนหลังเลิกประกอบอาชีพให้บริการทางเพศ คือต้องการ เก็บเงินให้ได้มากพอที่จะเลี้ยงดูครอบครัว มีเงินพอที่จะใช้จ่ายในครอบครัว จึงจะเลิกประกอบอาชีพนี้ ส่วนเรื่อง ความต้องการ การสนับสนุน ต้องการให้มีหน่วยงานทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชนฝึกอบรมให้ความรู้ในการประกอบอาชีพ ใหม่ที่หลากหลาย           The objectives of this research were 1) to study the lifestyle of female commercial sex workers and the meaning of female commercial sex worker 2) to study the future planning and support for after retirement of female commercial sex worker. In-depth interview and non-participation observation were used for data collection in this qualitative research. 17femalecommercial sex workers were selected for key informants who work at least 1 year in Pattaya City. The contents analysis were used for data analysis          The findings revealed as follows:          1. Lifestyle and meaning of female commercial sex worker is : they have to rent a room for living. They have no plan for medical illness and health care.They gave the meaning of female commercial sex worker as it is a good job but not acceptable from the society. They feel like this job does not make any trouble but it can earn a high income. Additionally this job take a risk to sexually transmitted infections (STIs)          2. The future planning and need of the female commercial sex workers were to have enough money for settle down the family in their home town after retirement and want to gain knowledge by attending the training program for preparation to start a new job from the government and private sectors.
