การใช้เทคนิคดาต้าไมน์นิงเพื่อการศึกษา

Abstract

          ดาต้าไมน์นิง (Data mining) หรือการทำเหมืองข้อมูล เป็นการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลจากฐานข้อมูลขนาดใหญ่เพื่อให้ทราบความสัมพันธ์ รูปแบบของข้อมูลนั้นๆ ให้สามารถนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ในการตัดสินใจ วางแผน ทำนายแนวโน้มสิ่งที่จะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคต หรือแปรเปลี่ยนข้อมูลไปสู่ความรู้ใหม่ๆ การทำดาต้าไมน์นิงสามารถแบ่งประเภทข้อมูลได้ดังนี้ (1) การจัดกลุ่ม (Clustering) (2) การจัดความสัมพันธ์ (Association Rule) (3) การจัดจำแนก (Classification) และ (4) สมการถดถอย (Regression) กระบวนการมาตรฐานในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้านดาต้าไมน์นิง เรียกว่า “Cross-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining” หรือเรียกย่อว่า “CRISP-DM” มี 6 ขั้นตอน คือ (1) Business Understanding (2) Data Understanding (3) Data Preparation (4) Modeling (5) Evaluation และ (6) Deployment และทุกครั้งที่มีการสร้างโมเดลขึ้นมาจะต้องมีการทดสอบประสิทธิภาพของโมเดลที่สร้างได้ ซึ่งจะแยกเป็น 2 ส่วน คือ (1) วิธีการแบ่งข้อมูลเพื่อทำการทดสอบโมเดล (2) ตัวที่ใช้วัดประสิทธิภาพโมเดล เราสามารถประยุกต์ดาต้าไมน์นิ่งเพื่อการศึกษา 3 ด้าน หลัก คือ (1) งานด้านบริหารการศึกษา (2) งานด้านการเรียนการสอน และ (3) งานด้านบริการการศึกษา            Data mining or data mining.
