Abstract

งานวิจัย เรื่อง กระบวนการประพันธ์เพลง “The Glamour of Chonburi” มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อนำเสนอกระบวนการประพันธ์เพลง "The Glamour of Chonburi" และเพื่อสร้างบทประพันธ์เพลงที่ถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวถึงเอกลักษณทางด้านประเพณีของจังหวัดชลบุรี โดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ บทเพลง The Glamour of Chonburi ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากประเพณีที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์สำคัญของจังหวัดชลบุรีทั้ง 3 ประเพณี ได้แก่ ประเพณีกองข้าวศรีราชา ประเพณีแห่พญายม และประเพณีวิ่งควาย โดยวัตถุประสงค์ของการประพันธ์คือเพื่อสร้างผลงานการประพันธ์เพลงที่แสดงความเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของจังหวัดชลบุรีในเสียงและสำเนียงของดนตรีตะวันตกประสมดนตรีไทย ผู้วิจัยได้สร้างบทประพันธ์นี้สำหรับวงดุริยางค์เครื่องลม วงขับร้องประสานเสียง และวงดนตรีไทย ความยาวประมาณ 17 นาที ในวิธีการประพันธ์เพลงผู้วิจัยได้ศึกษา วิเคราะห์บทประพันธ์ของคีตกวีเอกของชาวตะวันตกและชาวไทยที่ประพันธ์บทเพลงประเภทดนตรีพรรณนาทั้งในด้านวิธีและมุมมองการบรรยายเรื่องราวด้วยประโยคเพลง (Phrase) พื้นผิวทางดนตรี (Texture) สังคีตลักษณ์ (Musical form) โครงหลักของเสียงประสาน (Structure of Harmony) และเทคนิคการประพันธ์ เพื่อนำมาปรับใช้กับงานประพันธ์ของตนเองให้มีความสมบูรณ์ สามารถถ่ายทอดหรือสื่อสารให้ผู้ฟังได้เข้าถึงงานศิลป์ทางเสียง บทเพลง The Glamour of Chonburi แบ่งออกเป็น 3 ช่วงใหญ่ ซึ่งในแต่ละช่วงนั้นถูกแบ่งโดยอัตราความเร็วของจังหวะ กำหนดลีลาและอารมณ์ รูปแบบของการบรรเลง โดยใช้เทคนิคการประพันธ์เพลงหลักที่หลากหลาย คือ เทคนิคการคัดทำนอง (Quotation) แนวคิดการใช้หน่วยทำนองจากเพลงไทย บันไดเสียงเพนทาโทนิก ไลท์โมทีฟ (Leitmotif) ด้วยการผ่านกระบวนการสร้างสรรค์และศึกษาองค์ความรู้ผู้วิจัยพบว่า การประสมเสียงเพื่อสื่อสารข้อความและเรื่องราวอย่างลุ่มลึกนั้นจำเป็นต้องใช้องค์ประกอบของความรู้และทักษะการประพันธ์เพลงที่หยั่งลึกเช่นเดียวกัน ผู้วิจัยมีความมุ่งหวังให้บทเพลง The Glamour of Chonburi นี้เปรียบเสมือนเป็นจดหมายเหตุที่บันทึกและเผยแพร่เสน่ห์ของจังหวัดชลบุรี  This research aims to present the composition process of the song "The Glamour of Chonburi" and to create a musical composition that conveys the unique traditions of Chonburi Province, Thailand. The study employed a qualitative research methodology. The Glamour of Chonburi" is inspired by three unique and significant cultural traditions of Chonburi Province: the Kong Kao Tradition, the Phaya Yom Procession, and the Buffalo Racing Festival. The purpose of composing this piece was to create a musical work that represents the distinctive characteristics of Chonburi Province through the sounds and tonality of Western music blended with Thai traditional music. The composer crafted this composition for a wind orchestra, Chorus, and Thai musical band, with a duration of approximately 17 minutes. In the composition process, the composer studied and analyzed the works of eminent Western and Thai poets who specialized in program music. This exploration delved into musical phrasing, musical texture, musical form, harmony structure, and composition techniques. These elements were then adapted to create a complete and expressive musical piece that would allow the audience to engage with the auditory artistic expression. "The Glamour of Chonburi" is divided into three main sections, each defined by tempo variations, specified rhythms, and emotions. Diverse composition techniques were employed in each sections, including musical quotations, the incorporation of Thai musical motifs, pentatonic scales, and leitmotifs. Through the process of creation and study, the composer discovered that blending sounds to convey profound narratives requires an in-depth understanding of musical composition knowledge and skills. The composer aimed for "The Glamour of Chonburi" to be akin to a footnote that records and unveils the charm of Chonburi Province, expressing its depth and richness through the intricacies of musical composition.
