ภาวะผู้นำของหัวหน้าหอผู้ป่วยกับผลการดำเนินงานของหอผู้ป่วย

Abstract

ผลการดำเนินงานขององค์กรเป็นตัวชี้วัดที่สำคัญที่แสดงให้เห็นว่าองค์กรสามารถดำเนินงานให้บรรลุเป้าหมายขององค์กร รวมทั้งแสดงถึงศักยภาพและความสำเร็จขององค์กรโรงพยาบาลเป็นองค์กรหนึ่งที่มีความสำคัญเป็นอย่างยิ่งกับระบบสุขภาพและการดูแลรักษาผู้ป่วย ในปัจจุบันโรงพยาบาลของรัฐโดยเฉพาะสังกัดกระทรวงสาธารณสุข ต้องเผชิญกับความท้าทายที่ประชาชนและสังคมคาดหวังที่จะได้รับบริการที่มีคุณภาพ ทำให้โรงพยาบาลต้องมีการพัฒนาคุณภาพการให้บริการและการบริหารจัดการองค์กร เพื่อให้เกิดผลการดำเนินงานของโรงพยาบาลที่ดี อันจะนำไปสู่การให้การดูแลผู้ป่วยอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพและประสิทธิผล ในโรงพยาบาลสังกัดกระทรวงสาธารณสุขทุกระดับ ประกอบด้วยหอผู้ป่วยต่างๆซึ่งเป็นหน่วยที่ให้บริการกับผู้ใช้บริการโดยตรง โดยมีหัวหน้าหอผู้ป่วยที่เป็นผู้บริหารระดับต้นที่จะบริหารจัดการให้เกิดผลการดำเนินงานที่ดีของหอผู้ป่วย ซึ่งภาวะผู้นำของหัวหน้าหอผู้ป่วยเป็นปัจจัยหนึ่งที่ส่งผลกับผลการดำเนินงานที่ดีของหอผู้ป่วย ผู้บริหารสูงสุดขององค์กรพยาบาลและโรงพยาบาล ควรให้ความสำคัญในการพัฒนาภาวะผู้นำของหัวหน้าหอผู้ป่วย อันจะส่งผลต่อผลการดำเนินงานทั้งในหอผู้ป่วย องค์กรพยาบาล และโรงพยาบาลต่อไปThe organizational performance is thepotential key success factor which demonstratesthe achievement of an organization. Hospital is an health care organization which plays animportant role in the health care system byproviding medical treatments and nursing care forsick or injured people. Presently, the publichospitals under the Ministry of Public Health ofThailand have faced with the challenge of patientsand communities’ high expectations. The hospitalshave to provide the good quality of care bydeveloping services and management system tomaintain the good organizational performance.The structure of hospital administration under theMinistry of Public Health consists of specific careunits which are managed directly by head nurses.If the head nurses are effective leaders, they willinfluence on the unit organizational performance.Therefore, the top management team of thehospital especially the chief nurse executiveofficer and the director of the hospital shouldgive important on the leadership developmentfor head nurses which it will involve theorganizational performance in all levels.
