การวิเคราะห์เชิงปรากฏการณ์วิทยาแบบตีความ: ระเบียบวิธีวิจัย เชิงคุณภาพสำหรับการวิจัยทางด้านจิตวิทยา

Abstract

          การวิจัยทางด้านจิตวิทยาในประเทศไทยมีรากฐานอยู่บนการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณตามกรอบแนวคิดเชิงปฏิฐานนิยมมาโดยตลอด การอิงอยู่กับวิธีการแสวงหาความรู้เพียงวิธีเดียวเป็นอุปสรรคสำคัญต่อการพัฒนาองค์ความรู้ที่หลากหลายอันส่งผลต่อความก้าวหน้าทางด้านความรู้ในศาสตร์จิตวิทยา ด้วยความมุ่งหมายที่จะส่งเสริมความหลากหลายทางด้านระเบียบวิธีวิจัยในการวิจัยด้านจิตวิทยาในประเทศไทย บทความนี้นำเสนอเกี่ยวกับระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพที่ได้รับการพัฒนาขึ้นเพื่อการวิจัยทางด้านจิตวิทยาโดยเฉพาะที่มีชื่อเรียกว่า “การวิเคราะห์เชิงปรากฏการณ์วิทยาแบบตีความ” (Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis; IPA) ในช่วงเริ่มต้นของบทความเป็นการบรรยายถึงที่มาของ IPA โดยสังเขป จากนั้นเป็นการนำเสนอเกี่ยวกับฐานคิดเชิงทฤษฎีของ IPA และแนวทางในการดำเนินการวิจัยที่สอดคล้องกับฐานคิดดังกล่าว ในช่วงท้ายของบทความเป็นการอภิปรายเกี่ยวกับจุดเด่นและข้อจำกัดของ IPA และการเสนอแนะแนวทางในการส่งเสริมความหลากหลายทางด้านระเบียบวิธีวิจัยในศาสตร์จิตวิทยาของไทย           Psychological research in Thailand has historically been dominated by quantitative research conducted within a positivist framework. Over-reliance on only one mode of inquiry impedes diverse ways of knowing and thus limits the advancement of knowledge in the field of psychology. With the aim to promote methodological diversity in Thai psychological research, this paper introduces a particular qualitative approach to psychology, called “interpretative phenomenological analysis” (IPA). After a brief introduction to IPA, the paper outlines the theoretical underpinnings of IPA and offers guidelines for conducting a research project based on this framework. This paper concludes with a discussion on the potential and limitations of IPA, and also with some suggestions for promoting methodological pluralism within the field of psychology in Thailand.
